This service documents high-level business objectives and current strategies for achieving those objectives.
2. Market Assessment & Validation
What are the desired attributes of the system? How important are product attributes and features to individual market segments? Product success relies on understanding what your customers' desire in terms of products. Does your opinion of what the customer wants coincide with actual customer desires?
To demonstrate the correlation between perceptions and customer desires a perception analysis is useful. To determine the value of various features, Inish typically asks your marketing managers and selected customers to rate the value of various product attributes and features and rate the features on a 1 to 10 scale, 1 being a feature with no perceived value, and 10 for those features that are absolutely essential. The results are then tabulated and displayed in a graphical representation similar to the example in Figure 2. The unique graphical representation allows for a quick overview of how important the features are to each of your market segments.
This information can then be used to provide verification that the perceptions regarding potential products and features within the company correlate to some degree with the perceptions of your customers.
